Just like Daddy

>> Wednesday, June 23, 2010

I always knew that Nick would be a good dad.  He has always talked about all the fun things he wanted to do with his kids long before I was pregnant.  So I knew he would be a dad who did lots of stuff with his kids.  I just never knew how early these fun daddy son things would occur.  Once Sam was about one and a half last year they started having "boys nights out."  He took Sam to Grassphoppers games, Steak and Shake, Putt Putt.  And surprisingly enough, a PGA golf tournament.  (Somewhere they hold up "QUIET" signs might not be the best place for a toddler, but somehow it worked.).
With this said, its no wonder that all Sam's interests are just like his dad's.  And I  bet it's like that for most young boys.  But I am particularly glad that music is one of these interests that Nick is passing down to Sam.  Nick's father, Ed is a talented musician who has actually recorded some music and has a weekly opry/music hall in his hometown near New Bern, NC.  I am  even more thrilled that Nick's passion for worship music is being passed down to Sam, as I spoke of in my first post.  Since it was father's day and I want to share the pics of my boys, I thought this would be a good time.  And you better believe Ms. Arabella Grace is getting trained up in some of my favorite hobbies...but more of that in another post :)

At 5:30 in morning the two getting ready to go to a golf tournament...yes 5:30am and Sam was so excited!
These boys always have the guitars close by around our house.
Practicing their swings together
And of course what manly man wouldn't love...yard work ugh!  Have at it boys!
I couldn't ask for a more involved dad for my kids.  I am truly blessed and trying to refain from adding more adorable pictures of my boys!
